Budapest Sunset Times in March 2019
Are you tired of the long, cold winter days? Welcome the spring with us, on the board of one of our luxurious boats or ships! We invite you for a pleasant hour during which you can enjoy the sunset on the rivers of the River Danube.
March is a boundary between the winter and the spring. If you would like to still enjoy the feeling of the cold months, do not miss the last chances in the year, and skate in the City Park on the imposing Ice Rink which was built more than 140 years ago. Or are you longing for warm days since the 1st of January? Then try an open-air bath in Szechenyi Spa!
Although it is the first month of the spring, there can be cool days even in March. Warm yourself up with the excitements of the circus! You can visit various and excellent programs from year to year. You can enjoy magician’s tricks, incredible shows performed by acrobats, and many other exciting items. Children will surely adore funny clowns or exotic animals and their tricks. After or before this program, join us and enjoy Budapest sunset time, which is as spectacle as the programs at the circus.
After the vernal equinox, days are becoming noticeably longer and longer. So lots of programs can be organized during the daytime – and the choice is quite copious!
March is an important day in Hungarian history. On the 15th of March, Hungarians remember the revolution and the fight for freedom in 1848/49. On this day, there are lots of programs in the city in the emblematic sites of the historical events. The procession of Hussars is really spectacle! Hussars were traditional Hungarian rider soldiers, and their costume is characteristic, too. Moreover, you can visit exhibitions and museums, and if you are lucky, you can see the Holy Crown and the Crown Jewels, too. Budapest Spring Festival is not connected to one day. Actually, it lasts 10 days during which you can visit several art exhibitions and watch theatre plays or exclusive dance or music performances at the Palace of Arts, Opera House, National Theatre, the Papp Laszlo Sport Arena, or at several other sites. However, you can enjoy not only Hungarian celebrations. Do you like fine desserts? If you do, do not miss the Macaron Festival! Many people think this little French sweet is the queens of the desserts. If you are interested in Irish culture, St Patrick’s Day in Budapest is a must-have program. So there are several interesting festivals and other cultural outdoor programs. It is worth trying at least one of them, but you should know that prices are often higher on these days.
Music fans must not miss the concerts in the Stephen Basilica Budapest or in the Matthias Church! In these churches, high-quality programs are usually organized. Moreover, these great historical buildings are magnificent sights themselves.
Budapest Sunset is an amazing adventure from everywhere. Gellért Mountain (which is not a real mountain, it is just a bigger hill) is one of the most popular sites. We admit that viewing the variable sunset shades high above the city is a beautiful thing. But believe us: enjoying the sunset from the board of one of our ships is an absolutely different experience. The waves of the River Danube reflects the lights, so you cannot decide where ends the water and where starts the sky, while you are sailing through the several shades of blue, gold, red, and violet. This hour of the sunset is the most marvelous time of the day, but naturally, we offer other cruises during the day and even at the night. A sightseeing cruise with the experience of the star-lit sky above you can also be an unforgettable memory.
Do not hesitate, book our cruise, and enjoy Sunset Budapest today!
